The NICEIC are the UK electrical contracting industry’s independent voluntary body. NICEIC registration not only demonstrates to our customers our skills and professionalism, it also gives peace of mind that our installations are tested and inspected to BS7671 electrical safety standards. The NICEIC can request at any time the requirement to inspect any one of our installations giving further assurance to our clients.

With every company having a legal responsibility to ensure that contractors operate in accordance with health & safety legislation, Safe Contractor accrediation ensures that the company will be employing a contractor that meets current requirements without the additional need to carry out further vetting.

Ensuring processes, standards and procedures are being maintained. Monitoring individual companies have been audited on a regular basis to ensure standards are met.

SMAS

SMAS

SMAS is a national third party body that evaluates the Health and Safety of a company ensuring that the company complies with all the latest health and safety legislation. SMAS is part of SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement).

With effect from 1 January 2005, NICEIC Domestic Installers (including Approved Contractors registered as Domestic Installers) undertaking electrical installation work in dwellings that is required by Part P of the Building Regulations to be notified to the local authority building control office must, by law, arrange for a Building Regulations Compliance Certificate* to be issued to the customer within 30 days of completion of the work.

CRB

CRB

The Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) is an Executive Agency of the Home Office, launched in 2002. They were set up so that a wider range of employers could access information about their employees criminal record history and so make safer recruitment decisions. They enable employers to check if an applicant has any criminal convictions, if they are barred from working with children or vulnerable adults and if the police hold any other relevant information about that person.

Each of our employees are required to hold a current CSCS card which identifies that the individual has taken a health & safety assessment and exam which identifies a minimum level of health & safety awareness to be working on any premises or site.

City and Guilds

City and Guilds

Our Electricians are all required to carry out City & Guilds Training and as a minimum require at least 5 years experience in the role as an electrician.
